    Included in the tuition will be a textbook and a practical exam fee if taken at FREME.

    How long is the EMT class?2022-12-06T10:44:06-05:00

    – Typically, our programs last 4-12 weeks depending on the schedule.

    Will I be required to complete hospital or field observation?2022-12-06T10:46:15-05:00

    Field observation time is mandatory, EMT students must complete a minimum of 16 hours. This is typically done on one of our ambulances and scheduled during the program.

    What happens after I finish the program?2022-12-06T10:50:08-05:00

    Once you complete the program, First Response will coordinate the practical component of your NREMT EMT certification. You will also need to complete an NREMT written exam which you are eligible for once you complete the course.

    How old do I have to be to take an EMT class?2022-12-06T10:52:56-05:00

    You must be 18 years old at the time of your certification exams. You may take the class prior to turning 18, we don’t recommend this being more than 6 months from course completion.
